Work Experience

ArtistCorps Teaching Artist - UNC School of the Arts

Collaborated with other ArtistCorp members and teachers to find ways to incorporate ArtisCorps member's skills into lessons.

  • Developed fun, original, and engaging multi-disciplinary lessons for students utilizing NC Educational Standards

  • Service locations included Moore Elementary (Kindergarten and Fourth grade) and Flat Rock Middle School (Eighth grade).

Head Teaching Assistant - UNC School of the Arts Filmmaking Intensive

Responsible for leading Section, Cinematography, and Screenwriting TAs during the 2025 Filmmaking Summer Intensive.

  • Assisted with scheduling student activities and film shoots

  • Communicated and coordinated with other departments within the UNCSA Summer Intensive Program

  • Planned events for students, including tours of the film archive, a special 35mm screening curtesy of the Film Archive, Q&A talkbacks with TA Filmmakers, and classes on directing.

Inspecting and cataloging UNCSA's 35mm trailer collection, which holds over 8,000 trailers.

Post-Production Intern - After Hours Productions

Joined the After Hours team during the Post-Production process for their newest film, Checkpoint Zoo, about the evacuation of over 400 animals from the Feldman EcoPark in Ukraine.

  • Copy edited transcripts of the film and individual interviews for clarity/typos

  • Adjusted transcripts/production documents to account for new edits of the film

Duties include reading in-development drafts of scripts or treatments and providing detailed notes to the authors outlining issues with story, pacing, and character.

Producing Apprentice - Valerie Steinberg Productions

My time with Valerie Steinberg involved reading incoming screenplays and writing coverage. Over the course of the internship, I covered 27 scripts, recommending 6 in total. I had frequent calls with Valerie, and had plenty of opportunity to talk with her about independent producing and how she selected projects to work on. Further duties included researching potential clients and viewing short films at festivals.

Development Intern - Wayward Films

My role at at Wayward involved reading and evaluating film and television projects, and writing coverage. I read 18 different projects, ranging in genre from drama to horror.

My role involved assisting the Awards Department with the preliminary steps leading up to the International Emmy Awards. Responsibilities included researching shows submitted to the Academy and screening episodes to make sure they fit all technical requirements.

September 2021 - May 2022

Programming Director - Yale International Student Film Festival

I organized and managed the festival selection committee composed of 13 undergraduate students and select guest judges. Various challenges that I faced included sorting through duplicate entries, delegating films to the selection committee, and creating the rating criteria for the final judges. My last responsibility in the role was to compile the final selected films into programming blocks for the festival’s in-person/virtual screenings and announce the winners of the festival.

Story Director - Written Out Loud

Taught small groups of children (ages 9-13) the basics of storytelling and guided them through the process of writing a book collaboratively. Conducted virtually.

Selected Extracurriculars

Co-President, Yale Film Society 2022-2023

Helped revitalize the Yale Film Society and organize free, on campus screenings of Decision to Leave (in 35mm), Palm Springs (in 35mm with director Max Barbakow in person), and an advanced screening of How to Blow Up a Pipeline.

President, Trumbull College Council 2021-2023

Ran the Trumbull College Council, organizing residential college dances, events, study breaks, and merchandise for students.

DJ, WYBCx 2019-2023

Maintained a radio show for four years, focused on curating music based around specific themes or genres.
